--splice at 5:06 in Caution
--According to Deadlists, the exact date of this excerpt is unknown.
--The late March '68 recordings are often listed as sbds, and the topic of aud vs. sbd remains uncertain for these shows, though they sound as if they were recorded with micophones on stage.

(This is an edit of my old review.)
Charlie Miller has noted on deadlists: "The songs listed for 3/31/68 are actually from 1/22/68."
Miller put most of this fragment at the end of his 1/22/68 file here, based on Latvala's notes that it was the same performance. It seemed to fit so well - one Caution cuts off, another cuts in - but it was a mistake. Miller has since posted his own, better copy of 3/31/68.

Subject: Last Anthem of the Sun gig
After recording their first album in 4 days, the Dead spend six months in the studio and in performances recording material for Anthem of the Sun. March 31 was the last show of that effort. It was a great six months, and produced some great shows, and a cutting-edge album.
This the end of a show of the end of Anthem project. It must have been a good one. I agree with the other reviewers, a very good stretch of feedback. Not a great Good Night, though.
I’ve listened to all of the Anthem of the Sun shows here at Archive, and these are the best:
10/22/67*, 1/17/68, 1/20/68*, 2/2/68, 2/3/68, 2/14/68*, 3/16/68, 3/26/68.
I would include in this list Dick’s Picks Vol. 22, 2/23/68* and 2/24/68*
*The star indicates the really exceptional shows.
Do yourself a favor and go listen to them all.

Sounds way to clear to be an audience. Looks like a job for Jimi @ Holy Grail. I give it 4 1/2 stars for sound.
